Measuring for Your Shades: Please remember that the fabric width is narrower by 1” due to the brackets on either side. For an inside mount, your window frame must have a depth of at least 2”. Be aware that blackout roller shades will have a slight light gap on each side. To prevent this, consider opting for an outside mount. For an outside mount, shades should extend 4” to 6” wider than the window frame, and the shade length should be at least 2” longer than the window for optimal coverage.
